ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Project Manager is responsible for planning and delivering construction projects from award through closeout. This role coordinates daily with site leadership and supports/mentors junior project staff to ensure scope, schedule, quality, and budget targets are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Project planning & controls: Establish and maintain project execution plans, budgets, schedules, forecasts, and cost reporting.
  • Subcontracts & procurement (supporting role): Draft, issue, and administer subcontracts and purchase orders in alignment with company standards (with contract finalization and approvals completed in partnership with the Director of Operations).
  • Change management: Identify, price, document, and negotiate change orders; maintain accurate and timely change logs.
  • Client management: Manage communications, meeting cadence, documentation, and client expectations; support issue resolution and maintain positive relationships.
  • Document control & technical coordination: Process RFIs, submittals, and project documentation; ensure distribution and tracking through project management software.
  • Schedule & coordination: Coordinate with superintendents and trade partners to maintain milestone dates, lookaheads, and delivery sequencing.
  • Build and maintain the project construction schedule with Microsoft Project software.
  • Financial management: Track commitments, progress claims, billings, holdbacks, and cost-to-complete; support accurate month-end reporting.
  • Quality, safety & compliance support: Reinforce project requirements and contractual obligations; support site teams with project documentation related to quality and safety.
  • Project closeout: Manage turnover documentation, deficiencies, O&M manuals, as-builts, warranty requirements, and final account closeout.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pride in yourself and what you do.
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Project Manager managing small and large-scale projects, including commercial concrete,
  • Intermediate level software and technical skills,
  • Proficient with PROCORE
  • Proficient with MS Project
  • Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and company loyalty.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects flexibly and efficiently,
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and time management skills
  • Ability to lead a team and provide mentorship.

SALARY RANGE

CA$100,000.00 – CA$140,000.00 per year
